It’s Okay To Talk

The other day my friend Brian nominated me to help spread the word about male suicide and
depression. There are a lot of nomination posts going viral on social media. Whilst they help to drive interest to a particular thing I fear sometimes the message gets lost in a sea of posts and video.
Hopefully this one stands out as it is a picture of my lovely face. 😀
There are way too many people suffering with depression these days and having gone through my own journey of suffering I can truly say that talking about the problem is the first step on the road to recovery. I reckon we all know someone affected by it. Communication forms the foundation of human interaction and happiness – if you know someone who is struggling, open a line of communication with them your interaction could be the thing that helps them get through their day.
I thank Brian for his nomination because it ties in perfectly with what I try and promote with my presence on social media, and this website; positive vibes!
I won’t be nominating any friends for this, what I will do is ask that if you have spent time reading then it means you have taken time out of your day to be a part of something. Take a selfie, post it on social media and pass the message on.
Don’t do it because everyone else is doing it, do it because it aligns with a positive message that you want to put out to the world.
I help people every week overcome obstacles in their lives, some times its just a friendly ear that is needed to help people on their journey. I don’t use the word journey in the sense of a destination in life that we are trying to reach. I say journey because I believe that we should enjoy every step of our lives.
