Brendan
When I look back at pictures of me I find it really hard to believe that I was ever 22 stone (140kgs).
The further I get from the old version of myself the more I forget what it was like to carry around all that extra weight.
That being said, when I am reminded about it I get frustrated with the world because of all the knock on effects my weight and lifestyle put on my body.
Looking back I would have made many different choices if I knew what I know now. Which is why I have devoted the last 10 years of my life to teaching people my lessons so that they don’t have to go through what I did.
Charlotte.
Charlotte came to work with me after multiple different interventions did not work. She needed help with her walking gait as the life in a wheelchair was on the horizon.
I actually remember one online session when she had a wheelchair delivered.
A busy mum of two Charlotte ended up hardly able to walk (see video). So much so that she believed that she would have to live her life in a wheelchair.
After 3 months of working together in weekly 1-2-1 sessions she was able to walk and look like a different person.

Alison.
Alison started with me to help her lose some weight and regain some confidence with her movement. Little did she know where our initial programme would lead!
Her progress has been incredible after working with me over a 12 month programme.
Her migraines are gone, her weight has come down and she is standing and moving better than ever.
Alison is still working with me in weekly 1-2-1s to help build a stronger and more robust body.
Group Coaching.
Each online group coaching session is progressive and deisgned to help each person work on their bespoke plan.
Each person has a plan given to them at their individual 1-2-1 sessions in the week.

Group Walks.
Every so often we do a group meet up of clients for a walk up a mountain.
The goal of these walks is to bring people together but also give each person something to focus on from a fitness perspective.
These walks are another chance for people to get to know each other as often times they will never meet.
Bernadette.
Bernadette started her journey with a lot of pain after suffering with scoliosis and lost of mobility over a 10 year period. In 3 months we were able to improve her posture and help her quality of life.

Brendan gave me some very successful exercises which have improved my posture and helped me walk further and faster.He also helped me to understand my condition.
He has also given more effective versions of exercises I was already doing.

Karen.
Karen reached out to me after having a hernia surgery. A long term reader of my weekly newsletter, she knew that I had transitioned into working as a Functional Patterns Practitioner.
Karen was a frequent gym goer at the commercial gym where I last worked and reached out after her surgery to help improve her posture and start to build back her fitness.
Initially we started with weekly 1-2-1 sessions and then transitioned to every other week. Karen has gone from strength to strength with her training and there have been no issues with her hernia at all.
Mark.
After undergoing a severe and life-threatening surgery that involved a deep incision through his abdominal wall, Mark joined Brendan to focus on improving his overall health and mobility. This surgery resulted in Mark developing diastasis recti, as well as experiencing problems in his lower back and knees. However, at present, Mark is no longer in pain and has significantly enhanced his balance.
After working together for a year Mark became of a an extremely rare tumour in his jaw, believed to have been caused through excessive X-Ray exposure. This resulted in emergency surgery to remove half of his jaw and rebuild his jaw by taking a bone out of his leg and remoulding it to piece together his jaw.
With a missing fibula, two knee replacements and large abdominal scar and now a reconstructed jaw we are working together doing two sessions a week. Mark is pain free, able to play golf again without pain and continues to work a full time job as a doctor.
It has been an honour to work with Mark on his rehabilitation and fitness.
Matt.
Matt started with me in 2018 and has been on a mission for health and fitness ever since.
He has been a great part of the team and leads a lot of our group walks that we do every month or so.
Angeles.
Angeles came to work with me in 2018. She had only just moved to the area and happened to bump into me at the reception of my previous commercial gym.
We got to working together and have kept working together ever since!
Since then we have worked from traditional training, fasting programmes, nutritional coaching and now with Functional Patterns.
Angeles moved to London after a couple of years and stayed working with me online during the pandemic. She used to practice her sessions in the street and in her living room just to stay fit!
Being an engineer she has really taken to the Functional Patterns methodology and has found a really great routine with her training.
It has been a pleasure working with Angeles over the years and I look forward to keeping her moving going forwards.
David.
David came to work with me to help him fix his hip pain, lower back issues and shoulder issues.
David found me through the Functional Patterns Facebook group as he was looking for a UK based practitioner.
His progress has been great and posture is improving nicely. Hip pain and back pain is gone. Shoulder pain is almost gone too!
Jack.
Jack started working with me on a 12 month programme and has since become a lifetime member of Raw Motion Fitness.
His lower back pain is gone and he is more limber than he has been in years.
Years of professional football and injuries plagued him until he started working on his mobility and movement with us. The sky is the limit now.
Ronan Keating.

When I worked at a commercial gym as a PT a call came through to the PT Manager during the day from Ronan Keating’s team.
He was in Birmingham for a few show nights and wanted a local trainer to help him train and keep his routine of fitness going.
A message was sent to all the club PTs to ask who would like to train him for 2 nights in a row.
Nobody wanted to do it apart from me. The first night I programmed some simple resistance training based on his manager’s request. “Don’t kill him.”
The first session I used to test his fitness and his output. The second session I put him through some methods that he had never heard of before.

Tracey.
Tracey came to work with me because of her scoliosis, pain in her kidney and for weight-loss.
Over the last 12 months Tracey has managed to improve her posture, her kidney pain is gone and she has lost weight too!
Her journey has only just started, but what incredible results she has achieved so far.
Anna.
Anna has been working with me for over a year now and came to work with me after suffering with really bad chronic fatigue syndrome.
Improving her shoulder health was the initial part of the journey and now we are working on building her fitness up. At first there was a lot of trial and error with intensity for her to manage her fatigue. Over the last two years she has gone from strength to strength and improved her fitness, stamina and output!

Steve has a busy life, he came to me in the depths of winter looking to get fitter, stronger and to improve his posture.
Through corrective exercise and improved dynamic exercises, we have trained to become more toned and lose body fat % too. Steve's posture has improved and his mind is sharper.
